COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
Information You Provide. When using the Services, you may provide information about yourself, including name, address, telephone number, email address, and payment details in connection with a potential transaction. You may provide this information, for example, when you create an account, apply to a trade account, request products, communicate with a Designer or Vendor, or complete other forms. In addition, you may provide information about yourself or company, including for example, details to complete your account, User Submissions, and reference information.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM ALL USERS.
Log Usage Data. Our servers automatically record usage log data created when you use the Services. Usage log data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring web page, visited web pages, location, mobile carrier, computer or mobile device type, search terms and cookie information.
Location Data. If you provide location information during the registration process or at any other time via your account settings, we may store that information in connection with your account (including, for example, your IP address which may provide an approximate geo-location). If you are using mobile Services, we may collect location data directly from your mobile device if your device allows us to do so. Your mobile device manufacturer or mobile service provider may provide you with choices about how and whether location data is shared with us.
Telephone Calls. From time to time, when you call us, when we call you, or when we forward calls between Designers and Vendors, we may record those calls for quality assurance and customer satisfaction purposes. In those jurisdictions where consent is required for a party to record a telephone call, you consent to us recording such calls.
Trade Account Data. If you apply to a trade account with a Vendor, you allow the vendor to download, store and use your information internally within that organization for the sole purpose of servicing your account, facilitating future transactions and receiving promotional emails. Cora is not responsible Vendor adhering to United States CAN-SPAM laws to disclose originating company, source, provide unsubscribe links. If you feel a Vendor has abused use of your information or shared with a 3rd party, contact Cora immediately via email at email@example.com or in writing at 222 W Merchandise Mart Plaza, #1212, Chicago, IL 60654.
Vendor Data Limitations. Vendors who have joined Cora with a free or paid account must make reasonable assurances to protect Trade Account Data by ensuring data is only used within the organization, not sold to third parties and not used for spamming purposes (via any communication method – calls, emails, texts). Vendors must provide an opt-out method for all promotional communications. Vendors who are thought to have abused these data limitations will be contacted and, in the case of a confirmed event, be asked to leave the site and/or their account will be deleted.
INFORMATION COLLECTED BY CORA AND THIRD PARTIES.
Offline Activity. Cora, Designers and Vendors may collect text, photos, videos, measurements, comments, reviews, feedback, notes, ideas, know-how, techniques, data or information of any nature whatsoever before, during or after the provision of Services, or otherwise in connection with the Services, relating to you, your business, your household, your real or personal property or otherwise.
Information We Obtain From Third Parties. We may obtain information about you from third parties and use it to provide a customized experience, to suggest products or services that might be of interest to you, or to supplement or correct information that you have provided to us, and generally to improve our Services.
USE OF INFORMATION
Any information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:
To provide and improve our Services;
To personalize your experience so that you may find the most relevant information;
To manage our customer relationship with you and to improve customer service;
To process transactions;
To connect you with the right Designers, Vendors and other individuals and to optimize the information we share with these parties to initiate a productive and efficient relationship with you;
To help Designers and Vendors select with whom they choose to work;
To administer a contest, promotion, contest or sweepstakes;
To communicate with you via email, telephone, mobile, text (SMS), postal services and the Internet to provide you with information about products and services that may be of interest to you;
To prevent fraud and abuse and to otherwise protect members and visitors and our business;
To perform functions described at the time of collection; and
To develop, deliver and analyze the effectiveness of our advertising, products and services.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
Consent. When you consent or direct Cora to share your information. For example, if you choose to apply to a trade program or accept a business into your trade program through the Services, we may provide information to that Designer or Vendor.
Cora Service Providers. We may utilize third party service providers to help us administer, provide and improve the Services and these providers have access to your personally identifiable information only as necessary to perform services for us (e.g., we may share your credit/debit card information with our third party transaction processors only as necessary to complete your purchase, or we may utilize third party service providers to provide you with targeted messaging and advertising and these providers have access to your information only as necessary to provide these offers).
Co-Branded Partners. Some of our Services may be co-branded and offered in conjunction with a third party. If you use such co-branded Services both Cora and the third party may receive information provided by you or collected in conjunction with the co-branded Services. For example, If you sign-up with Cora through a promoted or co-branded website or within a third-party store directly, Cora may share your information with such third-party store.
Investigations and Law. We may release personally identifiable information when we believe that doing so is appropriate to comply with applicable laws, to avoid legal liability, to cooperate with government or law enforcement or private parties; to investigate or enforce a potential violation of our Terms, policies and guidelines; to bill and collect amounts owed to us; to protect our rights, reputation, safety or property or that of users or others; and to address fraud, security or technical issues.
Sale/Merger: If we become party to a merger, acquisition, joint venture, sale or pledge of assets, securities offering, bankruptcy, reorganization, liquidation, dissolution or other transaction or if the ownership of all or substantially all of our business changes, we may share or transfer your information to a third party or parties in connection therewith.
YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code permits California residents to request from a business, with whom the California resident has an established business relationship, certain information about the types of personal information the business has shared with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of the third parties with whom the business has shared such information during the immediately preceding calendar year. You may make one request each year by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or writing us at 222 W Merchandise Mart Plaza, #1212, Chicago, IL 60654.
Changing Information; Closing Account. To change or delete your information, you may login to your account and modify or remove specified information that resides in your account. If you want to delete your account, please contact us at email@example.com. Please note that although Cora will remove your account within a reasonable time after receiving your request, information that you chose to provide in a public area of the Services may remain in accounts of users with whom such information has been shared, and Cora may retain and use information in backup/archival copies for our records as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Children. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect or store any personally identifiable information about persons under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personally identifiable information of a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information from our files as soon as practicable.
Security. We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. For example, when you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer (SSL) technology. However, no method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing information is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the protection of any information shared with us.
